	A RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) (all models execpt 50GT, 51GT, 100GT, 101GT) are specially treated stainless steel ball bearings that are at least 10 times more corrosion resistant than standard stainless steel ball bearings.
	Lo-Mass Drilled Spool System (only models 50GT, 51GT, 100GT, 101GT, and 200GT) reducing the weight of the spool by drilling lowers start-up inertia for more manageable casts.
	Aluminum Spool Super Free (SF) (excluding models 300, 400, 401, 700) bearing supported pinion gear system eliminates friction between the pinion gear and spool shaft for increased freespool.

	Dartainium Drag material provides a wide range of drag setting and the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever.
	Non-Disengaging Levelwind System (only on models 300, 400, 401, 700) allows the levelwind to track back and forth during the cast which reduces drastic line angles that cause unwanted friction and backlashes on wide-spool reels.
	Recessed Reel Foot (excluding model 700) allows the reel to sit closer to the rod for comfort and maneuverability.
	Easy Access Sideplate by using a single thumb screw, the angler can open the sideplate and adjust the VBS without having to remove the spool from the reel.

	Drilled Crossbar (only on models 50GT, 51GT, 100GT, 101GT, 200GT) reduces the overall weight of the reel.

Shimano has made a good thing even better with the introduction of the Calcutta TE(tm) series. TE stands for "Total Efficiency", a concept that represents the ultimate response to the two main challenges of the sport of fishing: casting and retrieving. For the cast, Variable Braking System (VBS(tm) allows individual set-up of brake weights so you control the amount of
resistance applied to the spool during a cast. Easy access side plate with one screw unlock and hinged plate makes casting weight adjustment or spool
removal fast and secure. Once the fish bites, the High Efficiency
Gears (HEG(tm) take over for an incredibly fluid and powerful retrieve. The oversized main and pinion gears give the Calcutta TE more leverage and power, while achieving a high gear ratio retrieve that is smooth and effortless. And the TE oversized main gear allows the use of a larger-than-ever Dartainium(tm) drag, which means more drag surface for more stopping power and an incredible range of drag settings. All models have a one-way handle roller bearing for Super Stopper instant ant-reverse. On the 200 size and smaller, Super Free(tm) Pinion Gear System virtually eliminates friction against the spool shaft, allowing you to cast farther with less effort. The GT models come with a wiffle spool and frame to lighten the overall weight of reel, also two bearings in each handle for an even more fluid retrieve.
