three separate zoned actions which come into play as the rod is loaded. First, the

zone where it is harnessed and distributed. Third, the energy finally is
stored in the butt section. The butt section on a BreakAway rod stays stiff when the rod has
achieved lock down. (Lock down is when the tip is just about 90 degrees

TIP BY HAND!) The energy is then released from the stiff butt of the rod
towards the tip. The powerful butt will recover much faster than
traditional rods and this increases the distance of the cast.
