Stillwater Lures have gained a strong following with staff
members at Fisherman's Headquarters. These lures cast well due to the
various BB filled chambers, even in a stiff wind (especially important from
the beach). These BB's also create an effective rattle. Stillwater Lures are
available in a few color finishes that have been
proven to hold up to the toughest fishing conditions. Stillwater Lures are
constructed in the USA.
The
Smack-it can be fished several different ways. First, cast and
keep the lure popping constantly, moving the lure 5 to 10 inches at a
time. Secondly, cast, let the lure sit on the surface for 10 to 15
seconds, then twitch the rod tip popping the lure a short distance and
repeat. The Smack-it & Smack-it Jr. have a specially designed mouth that
creates a surface disturbance that will attract all types of gamefish. The
Smack-it has the weight needed for longer casting and still floats. It is
5" long and weighs approx. 1 1/4 oz. This lure works well casting from the
beach or from a boat. The Smack-it Jr is a smaller version of the
Smack-it and is 4" long and weighs approx. 3/4 oz. This lure is ideal
for back bay fishing for school stripers, blues and weakfish.
