Grundens Gage Ragnar R90 & R99
The Grundens Gage Ragnar Series is the newest PVC Hybrid Jacket from Grundens. It
evolved from a combination of a couple popular Grundens garments and the
customer's needs for performance and functionality. The Ragnar Series
picks where the Windjammer and Eureka/Westport
Series left off but the Ragnar offers so much more!
The Grundens Gage Ragnar Series is a Softshell-PVC Hybrid
Jacket that is made up of
25% (triple layer) soft-shell [chest, shoulders, hood, upper back] and
75% Heavy Duty PVC [arms, abdomen, mid-lower back].
Grundens Technical Gage Softshell is water repellant, breathable,
100%
windproof fabric that also has a slight stretch for incredible comfort and
maneuverability. It is a unique fabric that offers the protection and
abrasion resistance of a shell, with the soft and easy wearing of a fleece.
The entire jacket in lined for maximum comfort. The upper body and hood has
a micro fleece lining. Also on the inside of the R99 Zip Up Jacket there is
a large secure zipper chest pocket. The Ragnar Series feature the Grundens
Exclusive
Halo Hood System,
Neoprene Cuffs,
2 large hand warming pockets with zipper closure and shock cord waist hem adjustment.
Available in a Pullover (R90) or a Zip-Up (R99 - Shown at left).
The Ragnar is an excellent choice
for both recreational and commercial fishing because the PVC Sleeves and Lower
Body is in the area where the "business" takes place and the Softshell to keep you warm and
comfortable. Please note that this garment will repel water and handle an unexpected rain;
however, the Soft-shell will not perform well in heavy water/weather for a prolong
period of time. That is where a full PVC Jacket like a
Clipper or
Brigg comes in. This garment must be
treated with a water repellent spray once it had been wash a few time or
once it has been put through hard use in order to keep up with it's water
repellant abilities.
