FOAM-OFF Allows More Oxygen To Enter The Water-Stop Suffocating Your Fish! Foam on the surface of any water that is holding bait is harmful. This includes fish farm raceways, hauling truck tanks, holding vats, minnow tanks, live bait wells, and minnow buckets. Surface foam is created from any protein content in the water. Sources of protein may be fish slime, uneaten food, fecal matter, or decaying fish. Most waters holding bait tend to have foam problems at one time or another. It is vitally important that you remove this foam whenever present, to alleviate the possibility of large losses.  FOAM-OFF is a thick, white, totally safe liquid useful for removing and retarding the reformation of surface foam. You want to remove foam because surface foam interferes with oxygen transfer from air to water. Ninety percent of the transfer of oxygen occurs at the water's surface.  This product is very easy and economical to use and is extremely safe and non-toxic. One teaspoon treats 15 square feet of surface water area. Increase dosage if problem persists. Multiply the width of the tank times the length (all in feet) to determine square feet of a square or rectangular tank. The square feet of a circular tank is determined by multiplying 3.14 times the radius squared (radius is 1/2 the width across the top of the container).

Reduces Injury During Shipping And Handling. This liquid fish calmer may be used during shipping and handling to help reduce injury and losses. With TRANQUIL more fish can be shipped per volume of water since their metabolism is slowed and less oxygen is required. TRANQUIL may be used in holding tanks, bait wells, minnow buckets, shipping bags and in hauling truck tanks.

Six drops of TRANQUIL treats one gallon of water; 1.5 teaspoons treats 25 gallons. If water temperature is 75° or higher, increase dosage by 50% to help overcome the increased metabolism of fish. Shipping fish in water which has a temperature of 85° or higher is difficult and not recommended. ADD TRANQUIL TO THE WATER AFTER ADDING THE FISH.

This is one of our best selling specialty products. Not only does SHAD-KEEPER totally condition shad holding water, but it also removes harmful ammonia from the water. Ammonia and surface foam are two of the key reasons these types of baitfish have been so hard to keep alive in the past. With SHAD-KEEPER, no other products are necessary, and complete success is obtained in keeping the bait alive so that more time can be spent productively fishing. This product has been chemically engineered to be in a class by itself.  Along with removing ammonia and surface foam, SHAD-KEEPER adds all necessary electrolytes shad and herring need. SHAD-KEEPER also removes harmful chlorine from city water and melting ice, and any heavy metals which may be found in the water. The oxygen content of the water is enhanced and scales are hardened.  Use one tablespoon of SHAD-KEEPER per gallon of water, or one cupful (9.5 Ounces) per 20 gallons of water. If fish are of poor quality, or when holding blue back herring, double the recommend dosage.

Other helpful hints include:

	When catching shad or purchasing shad, cool tank water to low 60's or within 10°F of original source of shad water. This will help decrease initial shock.
	Round or oval shaped tanks work best in keeping shad alive.
	Always wet hands before handling shad.
	Maintain water temperature in mid 60's if no filtration unit is used on tank. If tank has filtration system, then water temperature may be kept in mid 70's.
	Maintain caution when doing partial water changes, so that pH of water is not changed drastically on shad.
