Z-WING REPLACE THE HEAVY LEAD BALL WITH A LIGHTWEIGHT ALTERNATIVE.

Operating on the principle of hydrodynamic depression rather than just weight, the Z-WING overcomes the shortcomings of the conventional downrigger systems. Having the ability to troll lures and baits over a wide range of speeds without complicated adjustments to the length of the tow cable has been the dream of downrigger anglers and captains for many years. Now the Z-WING has made this dream come true. The Z-WING's state-of-art design creates significant downward force which overcomes drag, allowing a constant depth to be maintained over a wide range of trolling speeds. The Z-Wing comes from the technology that helped develop large towing vehicles for underwater research. The Z-Wing maintains depth and lateral location with minimal drag. The Z-WING is a lightweight, piece of virtually indestructible polypropylene plastic. No more heavy lead balls rolling around the boat or swinging off the end of downrigger booms which can cause damage to both angler and boat alike. USAGE The Z-WING has three positions With the center hole being the most efficient. Attaching the Z-WING 250 by the center hole will produce a 16 degree downward angle far outperforming a lead balls. The Z-WING will hold this angle and lateral position at speeds from under 1 knot to over 6 knots. The Z-WING 500 will produce a 19 degree downward angle and is used from 3 knots to 13 knots. SPECIAL FEATURES Unlike any other downrigger or planer the Z-Wing's unique design creates an underwater disturbance which imitates the vibrations produced by injured or schooling baitfish. This adds to a more effective fish-attracting system. FOR THE SHARPIES By applying a heat source to the Z-WING's back fin joints, a slight angle in the fins can be positioned and set. These offset fins will produce the horizontal angle in addition to the vertical downward angle. The Z-WING will track away from the boat while maintaining desired depth. This feature is critical when fishing for spooky species like Salmon and Trout. Returning the fins to a straight position will enable the Z-WING to regain normal tracking.
