◄ ADDITIONAL COMMENT:
  The NEW ZeeBaaS Series 2 reels have external features that look similar to the older reels; however, the Series 2's utilize a convenient maintenance nut to open and close/seal the body of the reel where as the older models used allen screws to open and close/seal side plate cover.  Color is another way to distinguish the difference between the new and old models.  Older reels are Satin Black or Ti Gray while starting in Spring 2009 all ZeeBaaS Series 2 models are anodized, Black Anodized or Silver Anodized.
    - Only the NEW 2009 ZeeBaaS Series 2 reels are available.
    - The "Round Knob" is standard on all reels. The handle shaft on the ZX20/ZX22 is "short" and the handle shaft on the ZX25/ZX27 is "long".
    - The "Oval Knob Power Handle" is an additional "add-on" item and comes with the "long" handle shaft.

    - The "Supreme" packaging was discontinued by ZeeBaaS; therefore, the wood box is not available.
    - The "Titan" solid titanium line roller has also been discontinued by ZeeBaaS; therefore, the solid titanium roller is not available.

 ZeeBaaS ZX Spinning Reel Information

~ ~ Please Note that at the beginning of 2010 ZeeBaaS Reel Manufacturing has been taken overseas.  There are only a few "Made in America" reels still left. Please call or email to verify the manufacturing origin of a particular reel.  Soon the only ZeeBaaS Reels that will be available will be Made in China. 

Designed to withstand the harsh saltwater environment for a lifetime of hard use. ZeeBaaS ZX spinning reels are a strong advanced design, yet engineered to offer you flexibility. Yes, it's an ultra-high-end reel that can be owner maintained.

ZeeBaaS ZX series spinning reels have an incredible strength to weight ratio and can handle any type of line. Waterproof gear case and drag. Air jet cushion spool lip design which aids in casting distance. Hook keeper mounted to reel stem. Surf friendly by washout holes in rotor and spool. 12 stainless steel ball bearings plus 2 clutches.

The Components are made from the strongest materials available, aerospace grade billet aluminum, 6AL-4V Titanium, 304/316 marine grade stainless steel. Hardened Stainless Pinion. 316 Stainless Rotor Spindle hardened to 70 Rc. Oversize Titanium (Ti) main shaft Ti Coated to 90 Rc and mirror polished. The high efficiency spiral bevel gears are made from hardened stainless steel, and designed using the latest technology. Aerospace gear manufacturers were consulted to help develop these gears to run quiet and to handle the huge stress that can be applied to this reel. The spiral bevel gears are up to 15% more efficient (increased power) over typical hypoid gears that other manufactures are using.

The Drag is a completely water proof dual plate drag system. Adjust the drag with your thumb by wheeling the drag knob easily for tighter or looser drag settings. The ZeeBaaS reel uses two sealed drag plates in the spool combined with specially developed carbon fiber woven materials, resulting in super sensitive linear performance.

The Make-Up of the ZeeBaaS Product Line:
  Basically it's one body, two rotors, four spools, two handles and two pick-up types...

- One body is used for all model sizes; ZX20, ZX22, ZX25 & ZX27

- Two rotors; one for the smaller ZX20 & ZX22 size and a second for larger ZX25 & ZX27 sizes.

- Four spool sizes; two smaller for the ZX20 or ZX22 plus two larger for the ZX25 or ZX27.

- Two-handles; Standard round handle knob and an oval power handle that is available as an additional item.
- Line Pickup can be Single or Dual manual line roller or a Full-Bail manual system.

The Packaging Container (The first letter of suffix):
  The packaging designation will give you the same reel in your choice of packaging.
- "R" designation after the model size number is the "Rough" pack which is a reel in a box. Starting '09 it is the only packaging for all ZeeBaaS's production.

- "S" designation after the model size number is the "Supreme" pack which contains a reel in a wood box with a spare spool and tools.
        The "Supreme" is being phases out and will be no longer available.
        Because of the lack of demand for The Supreme "S" version we do not stock this version but will attempt to special order for you.

        If you are going to do your own servicing, you most likely already have the needed tools in your tool box.
 

The Pick-Up (The second letter of suffix)::
  Models vary from bail-less roller or with a manual full bail wire.
- Designation "S" for a single manual roller, which is the traditional style.
- Designation "D" is for a dual manual rollers, which is preferred for quicker line pickup.
- Designation "B" is for manual full-bail wire. The bail must be manually opened and closed!

The Finish:
The machined aluminum frame, spool, rotor, and foot are coated with a military type Z-Coat anodized finish in a Black or Silver color. Z-Coat is an ultra hard corrosion resistant finish.
