The ZeeBaaS ZX is a new milestone in the
evolution of the spinning reel. Designed to withstand the harsh saltwater
envionment for a lifetime of hard use. ZeeBaaS ZX spinning reels are a
strong advanced design, yet engineered to offer you flexibility. Yes, it's
an ulra-high-end reel but if you are mechanically inclined these reels could
be owner maintaned.
The Reel: Solid, Strong, and Scalable with
multi-flexibility features built into the design. This reel in effect has a
wider range of use that any other reel on the market. ZeeBaaS ZX series
spinning reels have an incredible strength to weight ratio which can handle
any type of line. Waterproof gear case and drag. Air jet cushion spool lip
design which aids in casting distance. Hook keeper mounted to reel stem.
Surf friendly by washout holes in rotor and spool. 12 stainless steel ball
bearings plus 2 clutches.
The Components: Made from the strongest
materials available, aerospace grade billet aluminum, 6AL-4V Titanium,
304/316 marine grade stainless steel. Hardened Stainless Pinion. 316
Stainless Rotor Spindle hardened to 70 Rc. Oversize Titanium (Ti) main shaft
Ti Coated to 90 Rc and mirror polished.
The Gears: The high efficiency spiral
bevel gears are made from hardened stainless steel, and designed using the
latest technology. Aerospace gear manufacturers were consulted to help
further develop these gears to run quiet and to handle the huge stress that
can be applied to this reel. The spiral bevel gears are up to 15% more
efficient (increased power) over typical hypoid gears that other
manufactures are using.
The Drag: Completely water proof dual
plate drag system. Never before has a drag system like this been designed
into any reel. A patent pending feature allows you to adjust the drag with
your thumb, wheeling the drag knob easily for tighter or looser drag
settings. The ZeeBaaS reel uses (2) sealed drag plates in the spool combined
with specially developed carbon fiber woven materials, resulting in super
sensitive linear performance. No drag washers are used!
The Make-Up of the ZeeBaaS Product Line:
Basically it's one body, two rotors, four spools, two handles and two
pick-up types... - One body is used for all model sizes; ZX20, ZX22, ZX25 &
ZX27 - Two rotors; one for the smaller ZX20 & ZX22 size and a second for
larger ZX25 & ZX27 sizes. - Four spool sizes; two smaller four the ZX20 or
ZX22 plus two larger for the ZX25 or ZX27. - Two-handles; Standard round
handle knob for two smaller sizes and an oval power handle on the two larger
sizes. Handles are interchangeable on all models. - Pick-Up can be roller or
full-bail and are interchangeable.
The Packaging Container (The first letter
of suffix): The packaging designation will give you the same reel in your
choice of packaging. - "S" designation after the model size number is the "Preme"
or "suPreme" pack which contains a reel in a wood box with a spare spool and
tools. - "R" designation after the model size number is the "Rough" pack
which is a reel in a fiber covered box. If you are going to do your own
servicing, you most likely already have the tools in your tool box.
The Pick-Up (The second letter of suffix):
Models vary from bail-less or with a full bail. - Designation "S" for a
single manual roller - Designation "D" is for a dual manual rollers -
Designation "B" is for full-bail
The Finish: The machined aluminum frame,
spool, rotor and foot are coated (Z-Coat) with a special military
specification finish altered slightly to ZeeBaaS specification. It is ultra
hard and has five times the corrosion resistance of other high-end reels in
the market. Reels are offered in Ti-Gray (TiG) or Satin Black (Blk).
